First Agreement for Cigarette Filter Management in Cyprus Between CPC Rethink Filters and the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia

On 19 June 2026, the first cooperation agreement between CPC Rethink Filters and the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia was signed for the collection and management of tobacco product filters and cigarette butts.

The agreement marks the beginning of a new era in cigarette butt management in Cyprus, aiming to reduce environmental pollution and create a cleaner and more sustainable environment for everyone.

The meeting was attended, on behalf of CPC Rethink Filters, by Board Members Mr Savvas Koutas and Mr Marios Vrachimis, and on behalf of the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia, by Mayor Mr Giorgos Nikolettos and Municipal Secretary Ms Gabriella Gabriel.
